Scheffau am Wildes Kaiser is the smallest of the 4 "kaiser villages". There are about 1.200 inhabitants and 2.200 guest beds. Scheffau is at an altitude of 752 meters

 

Scheffau is known since 1152 a.c. and the village was founded by bavarian farmers.

 

In Scheffau you wil find a pittoresc character of a small Tyrolean village, a well functinatet environment and one of the most beautiful lakes in Austria - the Hintersteiner lake. the lake is part of the national park Wilder Kaiser. the water is clear like cristall and very fresh.
